My first experiences with these new pens was bad. I hated collecting ink every time my pen ran out--it was so annoying. But after I started I soon lost this annoyance because my art looked amazing. The main point of this project was to my shape. I decided on drawing a flower because it uses many different shapes: circles, triangles, squares. I knew I had mastered this technique after my 3rd draft of the flower. Also, I focused on texture. The texture of this flower was made because I used different methods of sketching: cross-hatching, dots, parallel lines. I enjoyed this peoject even if it took me many drafts to complete.
I know that this painting is late, but I enjoyed painting my self portrait more so I took more time. But, I think this painting came out as well. I took this photo outside by the math hallway. Oh—I doubt this little plant would ever think he would be the subject of a painting someday. I started using layers in this watercolor of light brown and gray. Slowly, with many other colors, my painting came together! The combination of created the illusion of a depth and helped the plant look realist. while this was not my best piece I tried very hard and did my best. |
