This was the last piece of my groups triptych: my piece. Overall, I enjoyed the composition of this piece, even if we were off on the unitity of some corners. Everyone has told us that they look a lot like the hallways we drew. We focused on one point perspective to create different ideas of size and space. This was done in pencil and I learned that in order to shade correctly, the flow of the pencil must be the same. This project was hard but very fun.
Today I completed my "One Point Perspective Room" Piece. I must admit that it was hard for me to conceptualize this idea. I struggled to over lap every line. Although I struggled with this piece I did perfect one point perspective drawings. Everything can be traced backup one point in my drawing! Also I enhanced my design with the use of shading. Shading objects to bedarker and lighter made them stand out from each other. The combination of these skills created a balance in my picture that I really enjoy. Lastly, in this piece I am glad to say that I took a risk; I drew curtains in my room. Curtains were not taught to is however I felt that they really drew together my room. Today I completed my "Squares in Space" Piece. I must admit that it was hard for me to conceptualize this idea. I struggled to fit every line together- not because I am a perfectionist but because it was confusing to me! Although I struggled with this piece I did learn how to use the element of space in a one point perspective. Zoom! Everything can be traced back! Also I perfected my design with the use of contrast. Contrasting darker and lighter lines my shapes were able to stand out from each other. The combination of these skills created a balance in my picture that I really enjoy. Lastly, in this piece I am glad to say that I took a risk; I drew a circle into one of the squares. I am not sure if it is right but I do like the look of it! |
